The main Award Ceremonies are such as the Baftas, the Oscars, NME Music awards and the Brits. These award ceremonies dont need much advertising nowadays because they are so well known. They appear on Tv and behind the scenes the awards are organised and put together very well with all the glitz and glam expected. With huge stars attending and lots and lots of partys. Lets hope our evening will turn out to be something like that :PBut it doesnt need to be the stereotypical events like for music of films. There are events like beer festivals, which are held normally county wise with hundreads of people joining in, you have village festivals, street party festivals like Mardis Gras and the Notting Hill Festival. There are also conventions for magazines and hobbies, car conventions and boats.

These types of events cover a very wide range of audiences of all ages, there are the events and festivals that are aimed for everyone and there are the events that are specifically aimed at a target audience, for example the GlobalGathering festival a couple of years back was purely aimed at the raver. Or G.A.Y pride would be looked at as aimed at the other people.

For the Brits 2008, the logo had their sponsorship on it as well as its main logo. If we were to have a big name sponsor, or locally known sponsor to appear on our logo we would have local or national recognition and people would know that we had realiable and well known backing.

The kind of details given on advertising for events can vary, from well known events like the OSCARS, or the BAFTAS, little advertising is needed due to the notorioty. Things like adverts in cinema and page spreads in magazines is probably all that is noted. Also for new films or films in that year coming out and being advertised it will say if that particular film is up for an award etc.

Most of these events run for the day, or for the night, then there are a few like the Cannes Film Festival that can last over a weekend or up to a week.
